The 2nd edition of Fresh F.M. Radio Under-13 Football tournament has come to an end on Thursday 28th of September, 2017 with the defending champion Adewale Football Club of Ibadan retaining the title. It defeated David Joel Football Club of Iyanna Church, Lagelu Local Government Area of Oyo state despite a penalty shoot-out of 2-2 goals draw at regulation time. The tournament was organized by Yinka Ayefele to discover and encourage young talents throughout Oyo State Nigeria. The play was held at Lead City University Football pitch Ibadan.

The kick-off started by 4:40pm and David Joel opened with tremendous performance. In the 21st minute of the game, Adewale F.C. committed a foul at the edge of the box 18 by pulling down a player from David Joel F.C. player and the referee blew for a free kick against Adewale Football club. Azeez Oseni of David Joel F.C. with jersey number 10 placed the ball at the appropriate position and kicked it inside the net to make it a goal in favour of David Joel Football Club. Ten minutes after this goal, the referee blew the final whistle for the first half of the game ending David Joel F.C. 1 goal , Adewale F.C. zero.

In the second half of the game, Adewale F.C. got into the game with many surprises by having total possession of the game from the midfield and when the match got to the 37th minute, Adewale got a free kick at a very sensitive area near David Joel F.C. side. Oyedeko Yusuf of Adewale F.C. with jersey number 8 lobbed the ball inside the net of David Joel F.C. to make it 1-1 on the score board.

The match continued and Adewale boys were so determined to get another goal. In the 52 minutes of the game their efforts were crowned with another goal through Ebuoluwa Joshua with Jersey number 6 to make the score sheet 2-1 against David Joel F.C. of Iyanna church.

At exact 58 minutes of the game, David Joel F.C. press harder to equalize the game through Oyelade Nathaniel and the score board turned into 2 – 2.

At the 62nd minute of the game the referee blew the final whistle and both teams set for penalty shoot-outs immediately. Head for head, muscle for muscle, talent to talent but at the end of the day, Adewale F.C. won the match by 5 goals to 4 after the penalty shoot-outs. The champion, Adewale  F.C. went home with the Champion’s cup and a monetary prize of One Hundred and Twenty Thousand Naira, the second position won by David Joel F.C. of Iyanna church went home with runner’s cup and a Hundred Thousand Naira while the 3rd position won by John Kay Anderlecht Football Club of Elekuro, Ibadan went home with Seventy Thousand Naira.

Some players were awarded for their outstanding performances in the tournament. Obafemi Vincent from Wasiu Adeogun Football Club of Apata went home with Award of the Most Valuable player of the tournament and he was decorated by An official from Oyo State Sports Council called Gboyega Makinde a.k.a. Mankind.

Dada Adebayo of John Kay Anderlecht went home with the best Goal keeper of the tournament and was decorated by Alhaji McCauley the CEO and Director of Ade-Favours Nig.Ltd. while Oyelade Nathaniel went home with Golden boot for being the highest goal scorer of the tournament with seven goals and he was decorated by Barrister Jubril Olanrewaju

The sponsor of the Fresh F.M. Radio Under 13 Football competition in Oyo State, Yinka Ayefele presenting 1st position Cup and cheque to the Champion team.
